Print resolution guide
- 300 DPI (standard quality): A 3000×2000px image prints at 10×6.67 inches. At 4× upscale (12000×8000px) you can print at 40×26 inches at 300 DPI.
- 150 DPI (large format): Banners and billboards are typically viewed from distance, so 150 DPI is often sufficient. This doubles printable area again.
- 72 DPI (screen): Web-resolution images. Upscale before printing.
Recommended settings for print enlargement
- Use Clarity Upscaler 4× for photographs going to print — the AI-generated texture looks convincing at large size
- Use Real-ESRGAN 4× or 8× for product photos or illustrations where clean upscaling without hallucination is more important
